How come i hear "In God We Trust" was added in the 50's but research shows otherwise?

"In God We Trust" wasn't added in the 1950s to money, but "under God" WAS added to the US Pledge of Allegiance" in the early 1950s, so it sounds your sources didn't know what they were talking about or perhaps you misheard what they said...
