Clarification on the Bin Laden raid?

Was Pakistani intelligence or the Pakistani govt. in the loop regarding the raid on OBL's compound? If not, how did we secure military helicopters and fly at low-altitudes in Pakistani airspace? How did we have forces with automatic weapons engage in fire in a country we are not at war with? Were any Pakistani authorities even alerted to the fact that OBL had been found and killed while our forces were there? And they just let us fly off with the body??? I'm just very curious how this all went down. I know their govt. needs to appear anti-US to their people but I hate all these discrepancies in the reporting of this story.
